We will pick you up from Casablanca and drive to one of the most tranquil city in Morocco. Chefchaouane is a friendly city located in the Rif Mountains. This gorgeous city was built by Moulay Ali ibn Rashid El Alami in the beginning of the 15 century in order to protect the North of Morocco from the invasions of Portuguese. The city is nicknamed as the blue city as houses are painted with blue colours. Chaouen was used before as a fortress by the local people to defend the Portuguese and its name originated from the top of the mountains shaped like the horns of a goat. It is a photogenic city, and deserve to be in your bucketlist of must-see cities in Morocco. when we arrive to the city, we will visit the famous Otta Hmam square, walk around the small streets and see a lot of shops selling some souvenirs and local handcrafts. we will go untill the top of the mountain, or what is called Ras Elma. It is here where the locals wash their carpets and best palce to catch some photos from the top. After that you have free time to walk by your own. Overnight in Chefchaouene.
