Itinerary

Day 1

Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Merzouga. After having breakfast we drive to Ifrane, which is nicknamed as the Switzerland of Morocco. Ifrane means "caves, may be due to the existing of a lot of caves in the area. The local peoples called it as Well "Orti", which means Garden in Berber languge. This city is characterized by an Alpin climate as well a famous place for sking and has european style buildings. After having a short break in Ifrane ,we continue our journey toward Midelt where we Will have lunch(Restaurant Kasbah Asma). This city famous with the existence of many minerals, also the production of Apple, apricots, walnuts. continue our drive passing through different Berber villages. we Will pass via Erfoud, which is a important City for film makers, as it is near the beautiful desert. The City is also for fossils factories, and 70% of the populations make a living working in this domain. When we arrive to Merzouga, we will have camel trek for an hour, and have a stop to take pictures for sunset, and then continue to our nomadic camp. After having a welcome sahrawi tea, we take our dinner and listen to sahrawi music. over night in Merzouga. (Tiziri camp or similar)

Day 2

Merzouga - Boumalene Dades After having breakfast, we leave the camp to Merzouga and drive to the village of Khamlia, where we will meet the Gnawa musicians and listen to their music. This kind of music originate from sub Saharian African countries, may be from Mali, Senegal, Chad, Nigeria. we drive to Rissani. This City was a former important caravane centre, because of its strategic location in the crossways between the North and the South. It is here where exist the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherife, the founder of the Alaouite dynasty. we will stop at the gorgeous Todgha Gorges. The latter is a chain of limestone gorges, and a famous place for rock climbers. After having lunch in the Gorges, we will drive to Dades. we will have a stop to make a panoramic photo of Dades valley. Dinner and overnight in Dades. (Ksar Sultan Dades or similar)

Day 3

Boumalen Dades - Kelaa M'Gouna - Ouarzazete. After having breakfast, we will leave Dades for Ouarzazete. we pass through Kalaat M'Gouna,which is famous with the valley of Roses. Every year "Roses festival" is organised in May here at the city and takes 7 days of celebration. The festival is an opportunity for the visitor to discover the richness of the cultural heritage in the city, and to admire the famous Berber "Ahidous dancers", which marks the city. we continue to Ouarzazete which is considered as the capital of cinema in Morocco, and we will visit kasbah Taourirte. This Kasbah was constructed by a wealthy person of the region around 1754.After his death the powerful Galawi family took it and make it their own residence. They make a place for controlling the commercial mouvement between the oasis of Draa and the markets of Ouarzazete. Also between the latter and Dades, Skoura, Todgha. During reign of the Pacha Glaoui ,this kasbah was crossroads for caravanes coming from the North to the South. After having lunch, we will go to visit one of film Studios in the city and drive to our Hotel. overnight in ouarzazete. Hôtel Kenzi Azghor

Day 4

Ouarzazete - Marrakech After having our breakfsat, we will visit the kasbah Ait Benhadou, where a lot of American films were shoted likewise, ladiator, Lawerance of Arabia, Prince of Persia… thanks to its strategic location in the valley of Ounila, it was able to play a very important role in the caravane trade between the regions of the former Sudan and the imperial cities of Morocco. It is an eminent example of ksar in Southern Morocco illustrating the main types of the earthern constructions that may be observed dating from the 17 th century in the valley of Dra, Todgha, Dades, and souss. Since 1987 it was listed as UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. We will cross Tichka Coll which is about 2260 meters high above the sea level, and have some stops to take some pictures of panoramic views of the high atlas mountains. we will have a visit to Argan oil co-operative in our way (optional).overnight in Marrkech. Day 5 :

Full day guided city tour of Marrakech. Marrakech is a city of 1001 night. It is a city with its unique charm and beauty full with a lot of monumentes and sites that worth a visit. Marrakech was built during the reign of  the Almoravid empire  and they make it as their own capital. It is considered as the capital of tourism, and one of the most visited city in all Morocco.
In this full day discovery  city tour of Marrakech  we will pick you from your Hotel & Riad or and start our visit with  Majorelle Gardens.   This beautiful botanic garden took the painter Jaques Majorelle over 40 years to be completed. It is full with a lot of kind of trees from the five continent( cacti, palm trees, bamboo, coconut palms, thujas, weeping willows, carob  trees, jasmine, agaves, white water lilies, ferns cypress, bougainvilleas, datura ) and different spicies of birds; likewise house Sparrow, Robin, great tit, Garden Bulbul and so on. After that we go to visit from outside the famous koutoubia mosque, which was built in 12 century by Almohad dynasty and is characterised with its wonderfull Minaret with four gilded orbs. Then we go to see the royal palace, the huge Bab Agnaw to enter the Kasbah Quarter, heading to the to the jewish Quarter (Hay Elmalah), visit the Bahia palace;
This palace was built by Ahmed ben Moussa in the 19 century and well decorated with a lot Moroccan tilling, carved plaster, cedar wood ceilings.
When we finish our lunch, We start the; souks visiting a berber women co-operative, and know about the method of making the endemic Argan oil in Morocco and have an idea about the spices that we use for cooking and some herbes that Moroccans use in traditional way to heal sepecific illness. Most of the women working here are the sole earner of their families,so those co-operatives were created to improve the social situation of berber women and help them as well to get an important social status within the Moroccan society. In 2015, Morocco produced more than 4000 tones of this precious oil and much of it was bought by global companies for beauty likewise L’oreal.
we go to see the dyers (Sebaghine by Moroccan Darija) have an Idea about the artificial colours that Marakchi people use for dying the wool. Then we go to see the souk of copper, the blacksmiths area, the artisans making moroccan slippers.Then we head to see a traditional local backery. we head toward Rahba lakdima which was an old market where slaves were sold in the 12 century.

Day 6

Marrakech - Casablanca - Rabat. After breakfast we will drive to Casablanca. we will visit Hassan 2 Mosque, which considered as the biggest Mosque in Morocco. This beautiful Mosque was built under the reign of the king Hassan 2 in order to honour the death of his father. A lot of skilled artisans were requested to come to contribute in the constructon of this beautiful masterpiece of Moroccan architecture. we will have a stop at Ricks coffee, visit the Mohamed 5 square, and drive through Ain Diab corniche. After that we will drive to Rabat, which is considered as the administrative's capital of Morocco. we start our visit with Mohamed 5 Mausoleum, which is sheltering the bodies of Hassan king (Mohamed 6 father), Mohamed 5 (Grand father of Mohamed 6), Moulay Abdellah(cousin of the actual king Mohamed 6). After that we will visit Hassan Tower.
The latter was built by the third Almohad caliph, Abu Yusuf Yakub Almansor. He intended to make it the largest Minaret in the world, but died before completing it. Then we Will visit the beautiful Royal palace, after that Kasbah Oudayah. We stay overnight in RabatHôtel ibis Rabat

Day 7

Rabat - Meknes - Fes. After breakfast we leave Rabat for Fes. we drive to visit the Roman ruins "Volublis", and head to Meknes where we will have a stop to see "Lahdim Square", Bab El Mansour gate.
