we will pick you from Hotel at 08h00 O’clock and go for a full day Travel from Marrakech to Essaouira.
Essaouira is a quiet and peacful sea side city. The city has a walled beautiful Medina with many gates. The actual town was built during the reign of the Sultan Mohamed Third in the 18 century. The Sultan commissioned the French enginer, Theodor cornut,Who had inspired the plan of the city from Vauban at Saintmalo. Essaouira took the attention of many world celebrities, likewise, Jimi Hendrix, Paul Simon, The Rolling Stones, and Bob Morrison.
The city was selected by the film’s director Orson Welles to film the famous Othello
on our way to Essaouira, we will have a stop to take some pictures of Goats climbing to eat Argan fruits. we will have a visit to an Argan oil co-operative and get to know how they make the Moroccan gold as it is called by the locals.
when we arrive to Essaouira, you will have a walking tour to discover the charm of the city. we start with the fishing port and its beautiful gate, we pass the Square frequently full with musiciens and where the annual Gnawa festival is orgonized. we go to Scala, then we enter to see the Jewish Quarter, artisans working to make beautiful crafts with Thuya wood, which is famous here in the city.
After we will give you free time to have lunch and then we return back to Marrakech.
