This museum is located in riad Zittoun jdid neighber hood in the center of the old Medina of Marrakech, not so far from Bahia palace.It was built by Said ben Moussa, the brother of Ahmed Ben Mousa, in the nineteeth centurys. At the time of Sultan Moulay Abdel Aziz, he was the Minister of war. This museum was created in 1930 during the french protectorat, with an area of 2800 m 2 .It is a beautiful former palace repesenting sixteenth century Moroccan culture. It was restorated with the National Foundation of the Museums in Morocco. Since it reopening, this Museum is offering to its visitors highlights concerning the ancient art of weaving in Morocco through the diversity of its tribes and regions. 

The museum has plenty collections from Marrakech region,specially High Atlas, Tensift, Sous, Anti Atlas. The visitors will admire how beautiful the homogenous sets of carpets, weapons, traditional  Moroccan  cloths.
Dar si said museum has a riad with four rooms finely decorated with  Moroccan  traditional tilling , or what is called locally Zellige with different puzzles,carved stucco, and cedar wood ceilings.  

If you are in Marrkech for a long time ,this museum is one of the must -see in the ocre city.
