Multi-day tour
Two weeks, the whole country: the north, Fes, the desert, the kasbah road, Marrakech and the Atlantic at Essaouira.
Marrakech has the most flights, the best choice of riads and the shortest road to the Sahara: the Tizi n'Tichka pass is two hours away and the dunes of Merzouga a long day's drive. It is the natural starting point for desert tours, for the kasbah road through Ait Ben Haddou, the Dades Valley and the Todra Gorges, and for the loops that continue to Fes through the Middle Atlas.
All tours on this page start with a pick-up at your riad or hotel in Marrakech. Round trips bring you back to Marrakech; one-way tours end in Fes so you never backtrack.
Merzouga is about 560 km from Marrakech, roughly 9 hours of driving with stops. That is why our shortest desert tour takes 3 days: the road through the Atlas and the kasbahs is half of the experience.
Yes. The 3-day desert tour exists one-way to Fes, and the 5-day loop includes a guided day in Fes before returning to Marrakech.
The question we get most. Same road, same dunes, same camp: the difference is how much of the trip you spend in the car.
