Road winding through the palm groves and mountains of the Draa Valley near Agdz

Draa Valley

The longest oasis in Morocco, a ribbon of palm trees and ksour along the river south of Ouarzazate.

The Draa is Morocco's longest river and for 200 kilometres its valley is one continuous palm grove, broken by fortified villages like Tamnougalt and Tamegroute, where the green pottery is made. It is the return route of our 3- and 4-day Sahara tours and the quieter alternative to Merzouga for a night in the desert at the dunes of Tinfou or Chegaga.
