Man with a mule on a green trail facing the High Atlas Mountains near Imlil

Overview

Ninety minutes from Marrakech, Imlil sits at 1,740 metres at the start of the trail to Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. You do not need to climb it to enjoy the valley. Our mountain guide takes you on a 3-to-4-hour loop through the villages of Aroumd and Tamatert, past walnut orchards and irrigation channels, with a lunch stop in a family home. Mules are available for children or anyone who prefers to ride.
