Jemaa el-Fna square in Marrakech bustling with people at night

Marrakech

The Red City is where most journeys through Morocco begin, and the base for all our day trips and experiences.

Marrakech is a city to be walked. The medina, listed by UNESCO, hides palaces, madrasas and gardens behind blank walls, and the souks spread from Jemaa el-Fna in a web that only a local guide can untangle on a first visit. Outside the walls, the Majorelle Garden, the Palmeraie and the new town of Guéliz show the other faces of the city.

From Marrakech the High Atlas is an hour away, the Atlantic three hours and the Sahara a long day's drive. Every tour on this site that starts in Marrakech includes pick-up at your riad.
